Description:

International Admissions Assistants are the foundation of the International Admissions Office. These student employees accurately process documents and do data entry in an efficient manner, and act as knowledgeable resources for other members of the campus community. They communicate with prospective and incoming students through phone, email, and in-person communications, in a professional and welcoming manner. Preference given to freshman and sophomore applicants; all SUU students welcome to apply.

Duties:

  • Process applications for admission
  • Enter documents and other admissions data into multiple computer systems, including CRMs, SISs, and data storage.
  • Create communication plans/strategies for following-up with students
  • Correspond with prospective and incoming students through email, phone calls, messaging, and in-person.
  • Guide prospective students and their families through the admissions process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Basic office skills: computer use, phone calls, data entry, attention to detail, etc.
  • Mastery of the English language.
  • Willingness, and ability, to sit at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Comfort communicating with university partners, community members, and individuals whose native language may be different from your own (phone, email, and/or in-person)
